CoreUI PRO for Vue v5.22.0 - Time Granularity in the Date Pickers

We are pleased to announce the release of CoreUI PRO for Vue v5.22.0. CDatePicker and CDateRangePicker can now drop minutes and seconds from their time selection. The release also keeps internal fields out of submitted form data and fixes CCalendar, CMultiSelect, CAutocomplete, CTimePicker and COneTimePassword.

Speed up your responsive apps and websites with fully-featured, ready-to-use open-source admin panel templates—free to use and built for efficiency.

What’s New

Features

  • CDatePicker & CDateRangePicker: New hours, minutes and seconds props, with the same types and defaults as on CTimePicker. Set :seconds="false" to show and parse dates without seconds; :minutes="false" drops seconds as well.

Forms

  • Field names: CAutocomplete, CChipInput, CMultiSelect and COneTimePassword name their form fields only when you pass a name. The CMultiSelect search text stays out of the form data.
  • CMultiSelect: The combobox and the search field have an accessible name, and the search field is named after what it does.
  • CTimePicker: The accessible names of the selects have defaults, so every select is named.

Bug Fixes

  • CCalendar: disabledDates is honored for whole periods, and ISO week numbers stay correct for years below 100.
  • CMultiSelect & CAutocomplete: Disabled options and disabled option groups are left out of the keyboard path.
  • COneTimePassword: Every slot stays tabbable when linear is off, and a rejected character is left out of the slot.
  • CChipInput: The disabled and readonly semantics are left to the input element.
  • CModal & COffcanvas: Unmounting either component while it is visible restores the page scroll. The COffcanvas placement prop is now marked as required.

Documentation

  • API pages import free components from @coreui/vue, the API generator is updated, and the CDropdown responsive alignment examples line up with their toggle.

Dependency Updates

  • @coreui/coreui-pro updated to ^5.28.0.
  • Development dependencies updated to their latest minor and patch versions, including astro 7.3.5, rollup 4.64.0, vite 8.3.2, vitest 4.1.11 and vue 3.5.43.

Migration Notes

This release has no breaking changes to the public API, but two behavior changes are worth checking:

  1. Form field names. CAutocomplete, CChipInput, CMultiSelect and COneTimePassword no longer generate a name. If your server reads a value one of them submitted without a name prop, pass name explicitly.
  2. COffcanvas placement. Every COffcanvas needs a placement (start, end, top or bottom). Without it, Vue now logs a missing required prop warning.
  3. Install updated dependencies, run your test suite and verify the build.
