CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.24 - Backdrop Fix and API Table Cleanup

We are pleased to announce the release of CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.24. This maintenance release fixes a backdrop opened during the fade-out of the previous one, gives the Multi Select option style a real type, and tidies the API tables of the One-Time Password, Multi Select and Stepper components. The library is built for Angular 22.1.4. No breaking changes were announced in the published release notes.

What’s New

Backdrop Fix

A backdrop is removed 300 ms after it starts fading out. A backdrop opened within that window - for example when one Modal or Offcanvas closes and another opens right away - used to sit on top of the outgoing one until its timer fired. The outgoing backdrop is now removed immediately, and activeBackdrop is released once its cleanup runs. The fix lives in the shared backdrop service used by the Modal and Offcanvas components; the Sidebar has its own backdrop service and is not affected.

Type Improvements

• Multi Select Option: optionsStyle on c-multi-select-option now declares 'checkbox' | 'text' instead of accepting any string.

API Documentation

• One-Time Password: Documented placeholder, value and disabled on input[cOtp]. They bind to the directive rather than to the element, and none of them behaves like the native attribute it shadows: a multi-character placeholder is spread one character per slot and falls back to the parent’s, the value is kept in sync with the element, and a disabled slot is skipped when focus moves between slots.
• Multi Select Option: visible and active are kept out of the API tables - both are driven by the parent, and active does not read back what was written to it.
• Stepper Step: editable and optional are kept out of the API tables.
• Tests: The Offcanvas spec hides the offcanvas before restoring real timers, so the backdrop cleanup cannot clear the body overflow in a later test.
