CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.29 - Multi Select Select All Toggle and Selection Limit

We are pleased to announce the release of CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.29. This release turns the Multi Select select all button into a toggle with a tri-state checkbox indicator and two scopes, adds selectionLimit, and fixes internal controls of the Multi Select, Range Slider and Smart Table that tried to register with a surrounding form. The library is built for Angular 22.1.5.

What’s New

Select All as a Toggle

The Multi Select select all button now works as a toggle and switches its label once everything in scope is selected:

• selectAllStyle - 'checkbox' (default) shows a tri-state checkbox indicator, 'text' shows the label only.
• selectAllMode - 'all' (default) acts on all options, 'filtered' only on the options matched by the search.
• deselectAllLabel, selectFilteredLabel and deselectFilteredLabel set the labels the button switches to (defaults: Deselect all, Select filtered, Deselect filtered).
• selectAllLabel now defaults to Select all (was Select all options).

Selection Limit

selectionLimit caps how many options can be selected. Further picks are blocked while deselecting stays allowed, select all fills up to the limit, and selectionLimitReached fires on every blocked attempt:

Bug Fixes

• Multi Select: The options list keeps its form-multi-select-options class when virtualScroller rebuilds the viewport, for example after a search with no results.
• Multi Select, Range Slider, Smart Table: The Multi Select search input, the Range Slider thumbs and the Smart Table items-per-page select no longer try to register with a surrounding form, which logged NG01354 in the console.
• Tests: The One-Time Password spec waits for the zone to drain instead of a single tick.

Migration Notes

The published release notes mark a behavior change in the Multi Select select all button. After upgrading:

1. Install updated dependencies.
2. Run your test suite and verify the build.
3. With the default selectAllMode="all", select all now also covers options hidden by the search. Set selectAllMode="filtered" to keep acting on the visible options only.
4. The select all button shows a checkbox indicator by default and is labelled Select all. Set selectAllStyle="text" and selectAllLabel if you want the previous text-only look and label.
