CoreUI for Angular v5.7.26 - Backdrop Cleanup on Destroy and Angular 22.1.5 Update

We are pleased to announce the release of CoreUI for Angular v5.7.26. This release makes the Offcanvas and Sidebar components remove their backdrop when they are destroyed, cleans up the aria-*, inert and tabindex bindings across components, and aligns the library with Angular 22.1.5. No breaking changes were announced in the published release notes.

What’s New

Bug Fixes

• Offcanvas, Sidebar: Destroying an open Offcanvas, or a Sidebar that is visible in mobile mode, now removes its backdrop instead of leaving it on the page - for example when navigating to a route that does not render the component.

Attribute Cleanup

• aria-*: Host and template bindings across components now use Angular’s direct [aria-*] bindings instead of [attr.aria-*].
• inert: The Modal, Offcanvas and Sidebar bind inert directly. An Alert hidden through visible is now marked inert as well as hidden, and no longer gets the d-none class.
• tabindex: The Button and List Group item directives no longer write tabindex="NaN" from an unset numeric binding, and the Tabs tab and tab panel bind tabindex as an attribute.
• Added tests for the inert and tabindex behavior of the affected components.

Documentation

• Fixed JSDoc comments across components, including the theme directive.
