CoreUI Free Angular Admin Template v5.7.25 - @angular/animations Removal and Header Search Fix

CoreUI Free Angular Admin Template v5.7.25 - @angular/animations Removal and Header Search Fix

We are pleased to announce the release of CoreUI Free Angular Admin Template v5.7.25. This update removes the @angular/animations dependency from the template, hides the header search trigger on extra-small screens, fixes the forgot-password link on the login view, and refreshes the bundled CoreUI packages. The template stays on Angular 22.1.4.

Speed up your responsive apps and websites with fully-featured, ready-to-use open-source admin panel templates—free to use and built for efficiency.

How to Update

Download the latest source from GitHub releases.

After downloading, install dependencies and start the project:

npm install
ng serve

If you are updating an existing customized project, compare your local changes with the latest template files and bring over the parts you need before deploying. Pay special attention to src/app/app.config.ts if you added your own providers there.

What’s New

@angular/animations Removed

The template no longer depends on @angular/animations:

  • @angular/animations was removed from the dependencies in package.json.
  • provideAnimationsAsync() was removed from the providers in src/app/app.config.ts.
  • The static backdrop example in the modal view no longer sets the [@.disabled] animation binding.
  • The component specs no longer import NoopAnimationsModule.

CoreUI for Angular 5.7.25, bundled with this release, no longer lists @angular/animations as a peer dependency.

Header Search Trigger on Small Screens

The search button trigger in the default header is now hidden on extra-small screens (d-none d-sm-flex) and shown from the sm breakpoint up.

The I forgot password link on the login view now points to /authentication/password/reset. It previously pointed to /authentication/reset-password, a route that does not exist.

CoreUI Package Refresh

  • Updated bundled CoreUI Angular packages to 5.7.25 for version consistency across the project.
  • Keeps the main package, Chart.js integration, and icons package aligned with the current release of CoreUI for Angular.

Dependency Updates

We have updated key dependencies to their latest compatible versions for CoreUI Free Angular Admin Template v5.7.25:

CoreUI Packages

  • @coreui/angular to: 5.7.25
  • @coreui/angular-chartjs to: 5.7.25
  • @coreui/icons-angular to: 5.7.25

Removed

  • @angular/animations

Migration Notes

This release removes a dependency and a provider, so review these points when updating a customized project:

  1. If your own code uses Angular animations (@angular/animations, provideAnimationsAsync(), BrowserAnimationsModule, NoopAnimationsModule, or @trigger bindings), keep @angular/animations in your package.json and keep the animations provider in your app config when merging the new app.config.ts.
  2. If you customized the login view, update the forgot-password link to /authentication/password/reset.
  3. Install updated dependencies, run your test suite, and verify the build before deploying.
