CoreUI PRO Vue Admin Template v5.9.0 - Navigation Reorganization and FullCalendar 7

We are excited to announce the release of CoreUI PRO Vue Admin Template v5.9.0. This release aligns the navigation and views with the information architecture of the Bootstrap PRO template, migrates FullCalendar to version 7, adds new component demos, and refreshes the tooling and dependencies.

How to Update

Download the latest version from CoreUI Downloads.

After downloading:

npm install      # Install dependencies
npm run dev      # Start development server
npm run build    # Build for production

If you are updating an existing customized project, compare your local changes with the latest template files and bring over the parts you need before deploying.

What’s New

Navigation and Views

• Reorganized the navigation and views to match the information architecture of the CoreUI PRO Bootstrap admin template, so the two templates stay consistent with each other.

New Demos

• Added a Chip Set demo built on the Chip component.
• Added a Search Button demo.
• Fixed drift in ARCHITECTURE.md so the documented structure matches the project again.

FullCalendar 7

• Migrated FullCalendar to v7.
• Restored the header toolbar and added the week and day views to the calendar demo.

Bug Fixes

• Header: The search button is hidden on extra-small screens.

Tooling

• Lint no longer walks the .demos build output, which keeps ESLint from scanning large demo bundles.
• The deploy and release helper scripts are tracked in the repository and excluded from the release archive.

Dependency Updates

We have updated key dependencies to their latest compatible versions for CoreUI PRO Vue Admin Template v5.9.0:

• eslint to: 10 (major version upgrade)
• pinia to: 4 (major version upgrade)
• globals and i18next-http-backend to their latest major versions
• Bumped the remaining minor and patch dependency updates.

Migration Notes

This is a feature and maintenance release. After upgrading:

1. Install updated dependencies.
2. Run your test suite and verify the build.
3. If you customized the navigation or the views, compare them with the reorganized structure before deploying.
4. Verify your calendar views after the FullCalendar 7 migration.
5. Review your ESLint configuration after the major upgrade to ESLint 10.
