CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.22 - Responsive Dropdown Alignment

CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.22 - Responsive Dropdown Alignment

We are pleased to announce the release of CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.22. This release lets the Dropdown alignment input take a per-breakpoint map, makes the alignment set on c-dropdown reach its menu, narrows the size/sizing inputs across components to the values they actually support, and corrects the JSDoc behind the generated API tables. The library is built for Angular 22.1.3. No breaking changes were announced in the published release notes.

Speed up your responsive apps and websites with fully-featured, ready-to-use open-source admin panel templates—free to use and built for efficiency.

How to Update

To update to CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.22, run:

ng update @angular/core@22 @angular/cli@22 @coreui/coreui-pro@~5.27.0 @coreui/angular-pro@~5.7.22
  • Please ensure that there are no error messages in the results.

What’s New

Responsive Dropdown Alignment

The Dropdown alignment input now accepts either 'start' | 'end' or a per-breakpoint map (the new DropdownAlignment type), so the menu can align differently depending on the viewport:

<c-dropdown [alignment]="{ xs: 'end', lg: 'start' }">

Each entry adds the matching class to the menu (dropdown-menu-end, dropdown-menu-lg-start), and dynamic positioning stands down when a map is used, because those classes place the menu themselves. The menu only lands where the classes put it from v5.7.23, which adds the static positioning attribute they rely on.

Bug Fixes

  • Dropdown: The alignment set on c-dropdown is now applied to the menu. Before, the dropdown-menu-start/dropdown-menu-end class was only added when alignment was bound on cDropdownMenu itself; the menu now falls back to the value set on its dropdown.

Stricter Size Types

The size and sizing inputs used to declare unions ending in | string, which TypeScript collapses to plain string. They now declare their real sets, so the compiler checks the values you pass:

  • '' | 'sm' | 'lg' - Button, Button Group, Pagination, Smart Pagination, Form Control, Form Select, Form Label, Input Group, Password Input, Autocomplete, Date Range Picker, Multi Select, One-Time Password and Time Picker.
  • '' | 'lg' | 'xl' - Form Check.
  • '' | 'sm' | 'lg' | 'custom' - Rating.

Documentation

  • Corrected the JSDoc across components so the generated API tables name the right type, value and default - for example the Dropdown autoClose, direction and popperOptions inputs.
  • Documented the Calendar calendarCellHover output.
  • Added tests for the per-breakpoint alignment and pinned the alignment to its own dropdown.

Dependency Updates

This release does not change any dependency versions; it stays on Angular 22.1.3, like v5.7.21.

Migration Notes

This is a maintenance release with no breaking changes announced in the published release notes. After upgrading:

  1. Install updated dependencies.
  2. Run your test suite and verify the build.
  3. If you pass a size or sizing value typed as string, or a value outside the declared union, the compiler will now flag it - type it as the matching union.
  4. If you plan to use the per-breakpoint alignment map, upgrade to v5.7.23 or later, where the menu is positioned by the alignment classes.
