CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.23 - Dropdown Positioning Fixes and Angular 22.1.4 Update

We are pleased to announce the release of CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.23. This release makes the per-breakpoint alignment of the Dropdown component take effect by marking the menu as statically positioned whenever dynamic positioning is off, cleans up the icon components and the cHtmlAttr directive, and aligns the library with Angular 22.1.4. No breaking changes were announced in the published release notes.

Speed up your responsive apps and websites with fully-featured, ready-to-use open-source admin panel templates—free to use and built for efficiency.

How to Update

To update to CoreUI PRO for Angular v5.7.23, run:

ng update @angular/core@22 @angular/cli@22 @coreui/coreui-pro@~5.27.0 @coreui/angular-pro@~5.7.23
  • Please ensure that there are no error messages in the results.
  • Download the latest PRO packages from CoreUI Downloads.

What’s New

  • Static positioning attribute: The Dropdown menu now gets data-coreui-popper="static" whenever dynamic positioning is off - with [popper]="false" or with a per-breakpoint alignment map. Without it, the stylesheet rules that place the menu without Popper (the top offset, the menu spacer and the responsive dropdown-menu-{breakpoint}-{start|end} classes) never applied, so the per-breakpoint alignment added in v5.7.22 had no effect on where the menu landed.
  • Alignment map on the menu: Dynamic positioning now also stands down when the per-breakpoint map is bound on cDropdownMenu instead of c-dropdown.
<c-dropdown>
  <button cButton cDropdownToggle>Menu</button>
  <ul cDropdownMenu [alignment]="{ xs: 'end', lg: 'start' }">...</ul>
</c-dropdown>

Internal Improvements

  • Icons: Dropped the unreachable “icon not found” warning from IconComponent and IconDirective; a missing icon is still reported by IconSetService.
  • cHtmlAttr directive: The attribute effect is now created in the constructor, and the unused attrEffect handle was removed.
  • Tests: Covered the static positioning attribute for the alignment map and for [popper]="false", and registered the icon set once in the spec setup, so the suite no longer logs “not registered” warnings.

Angular 22.1.4 Alignment

This release keeps CoreUI PRO for Angular aligned with Angular 22.1.4, so framework packages and build tooling stay in sync.

Migration Notes

This is a maintenance release with no breaking changes announced in the published release notes. After upgrading:

  1. Install updated dependencies.
  2. Run your test suite and verify the build.
  3. Dropdown menus rendered with [popper]="false" now carry data-coreui-popper="static", so the stylesheet’s static positioning rules (top offset and spacer) apply to them. If you positioned such menus with your own CSS, check that they still sit where you expect.
