CoreUI PRO v5.29.1 - Time Picker and Calendar Fixes

We are pleased to announce the release of CoreUI PRO v5.29.1 for Bootstrap. This patch release fixes how the Time Picker handles an empty value and makes the Calendar open on a month with days to pick when minDate or maxDate exclude today.

Speed up your responsive apps and websites with fully-featured, ready-to-use open-source admin panel templates—free to use and built for efficiency.

What’s New

Bug Fixes

  • Time Picker: Cancel on an empty picker kept the start of 1970 in UTC as the value to restore, so the input filled with a time (7:00 PM in New York, 1:00 AM in Warsaw, 12:00 AM in UTC). The picker now remembers that it was empty: Cancel leaves the input empty and resets AM/PM.
  • Time Picker: The first pick on an empty picker started from UTC midnight, so the parts you had not picked yet carried your UTC offset (picking 30 minutes in New York gave 7:30 PM). It now starts from local midnight.
  • Calendar: Without a calendarDate, startDate or endDate, the calendar opened on today even when minDate or maxDate excluded it, so an empty date picker could open on a month with no day to pick. It now opens on the minDate or maxDate that today falls outside of, also after update(). disabledDates play no part in that choice.

Dependency Updates

  • No dependency changes in this release.

Migration Notes

This release has no breaking changes to the public API. One behavior change is worth checking:

  1. timeChange.coreui.time-picker on Cancel. Cancel on a picker that was empty when it opened now fires the event with date: null instead of a 1970 date. Handlers that read event.date should handle null, as they already must after clear().
